Paradocs Effervescent CGN CD RN (Ch pointed)
What to say about Fresca? She is an absolute doll who loves to be with her people. Whether she is hanging out in the house, or investigating the back 40 she has a wonderfully stable, calm and quiet temperament.
As one of our current therapy dogs she interacts with clients in a rehabilitation unit each month. He favorite trick is putting her front feet up on the end of their bed and walking her feet forward until they can pet her - it's her way of getting around the "no dogs on the beds" rule.
Now that Clipper has passed all of her health certifications Fresca is being retired and will focus more on her obedience, rally and hunting titles :-)
In July 2012 Fresca went to hang out with her friend Sue Bosence to do some clean up training to get ready to trial for her CD (Companion Dog) obedience title. At the end of July the team obtained 2 of the required 3 legs on her title.
In August they met back up after some R&R at home and got that final leg and her new CD title!! Way to go gals :-) In the process Fresca also received the "Toll House Cookie Award" for the highest qualifying score by a Labrador Retriever in any of the 4 trials that weekend. What makes it special is that in 2010 Maddie and I won the same award :-D
In November she added a new title to her name - RN. She completed her Rally Novice title in 3 straight trials, and then went on to get her first qualifying score for the next level.
A huge "Thank you" goes out to Drs. Karen and John Helmers of Paradocs Labradors in Indiana, USA for entrusting us with her.
